Why in the world would the City try to shut down the East Side Studio Tour? This has quickly become a favorite Austin yearly activity. Why not simply treat the direct sale of art, occurring once a year, in the same way home owners are allowed garage
sales? Artists elevate a community in so many ways…not the least of which is economic. Consider Austin”s music industry. The City needs all slots casino to think again about the financial benefits of tourism and increased property values fueled by the annual art tour.
